Pyramidal neuron in silver 925

Santiago Ramón y Cajal was a Spanish physician and artist. He is the father of modern neuroscience. He combined his scientific research with his artistic side and created amazing drawings of the human brain and other nervous tissues. In 1906, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology/Medicine for his claim that the brain is composed of individual neuron cells. Cajal's theories form the basis of neuroscience today.

I received a request from Madrid to design a jewelry based on one of Cajal's drawings. After receiving permission from the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (Natural Sciences Museum) in Madrid, I have now created a Santiago Ramón y Cajal pyramidala cell. It is a piece of jewelry that I make as an open edition (OE). Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity. The picture shows my first neuron piece of jewelry, OE-001. I have delivered four more to Spain.
