Enamelled tRNA
The enamelled jewelry shows the three dimensional structure of transfer RNA, tRNA.
tRNA is responsible for transporting amino acids to the ribosomes in the cell for use in protein synthesis.
The image shows the two dimensional cloverleaf structure of tRNA. The silver jewelry and the cloverleaf structure are colour marked. The CCA tail, where an amino acid can be bound, is colored yellow, and the anticodon, with a nucleotide sequence that exactly matches the codon, is colored black.

Persin is a fungicidal toxic found in avocado. High concentrations of persin are found in the leaves and bark of the avocado plant, but also in the skin and core of the fruit. The toxin is a protection in avocados against insects and fungal infections.
