Platonic solids as silver jewelry.

A Platonic solid is a regular polyhedron in three dimensional space. Being a regular polyhedron means that the faces are identical in shape and size and the same number of faces meet at each vertex. They are named after the Greek mathematician and philosopher Plato, who studied these three dimensional figures. There are only five such polyhedra; tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron.

I have formed some of the platonic solids in silver plate 925.

Tetrahedron in silver 925.
Hexahedron in silver 925.
Octahedron in silver 925.

A tetrahedron is a three dimensional figure made up of four equilateral triangles. A hexahedron, more commonly known as a cube, is a three-dimensional figure made up of six equilateral squares. An octahedron is a three-dimensional figure made up of eight equilateral triangles.
