I work with Sterling Silver (silver 925) and fine silver (silver 999), sometimes combined with gold. All my jewelry is handmade and may vary slightly in design. Each jewelry is unique.

The golden ratio, earrings

The golden ratio earings in silver 925.

The golden ratio is about how you can place things so that it feels harmonious and natural to the eye. The golden ratio is the ratio between two sides and a mathematical constant with the value 1.618. Leonardo da Vinci’s painting Mona Lisa follows the golden ratio.

Enamelled maple leaf

Hand sawed, enamelled maple leaf in silver 925 inspired by autumn colours.

When chlorophyll breaks down in the fall, the yellow colours of the carotenoids appear and the red colour of the autumn leaves is mainly caused by anthocyanins.

Trisomy

Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes. Trisomy means that there is an extra chromosome on a pair of chromosomes. The most common trisomy is that of chromosome 21, which causes Down syndrome, trisomy 21.

Enamelled tRNA

The enamelled jewelry shows the three dimensional structure of transfer RNA, tRNA.

tRNA is responsible for transporting amino acids to the ribosomes in the cell for use in protein synthesis.

The image shows the two dimensional cloverleaf structure of tRNA. The silver jewelry and the cloverleaf structure are colour marked. The CCA tail, where an amino acid can be bound, is colored yellow, and the anticodon, with a nucleotide sequence that exactly matches the codon, is colored black.
