The silver protein for December is Atg1. Atg1 is an important protein in autophagy, a process for degrading and recycling cellular components.The discovery of the autophagy mechanism was awarded 2016 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine

Under april månad har jag ställt ut 16 av mina silverproteiner samt några av mina ’vanliga’ silversmycken på Läkemedelsverket i Uppsala.

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2015 is awarded the cell's repair of mutated DNA. I wanted to modify 'my' DNA helix. By soldering a silver bullet or a golden bullet on one of the strings, I made two different point mutations. There was great interest, especially the gold mutation. They were bought by the two Nobel laureates Paul Modrich and Aziz Sancar.
