It’s getting closer to Christmas. Christmas is slowly approaching with it a lot of Christmas markets. My first Christmas market will be on Sunday, the first Advent. I will, together with other exhibitors, be at Herresta Lada. Take the opportunity to take a ‘go’fika’ at the cozy café and visit us exhibitors. Why not buy a nice Christmas present?

On Saturday, November 12th, I will be one of the exhibitors at the Art Show in Uppsala Market Hall. An event hosted by Galleri Zeitgeist.

This year’s silver jewelry inspired by the Nobel Prize in Medicine/Physiology, Physics and Chemistry have been delivered to the Nobel Museum at Stortorget in Stockholm.

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2022 was awarded to Svante Pääbo “for his discoveries concerning the genomes of extinct hominins and human evolution”.

Svante Pääbo mapped the genome of Neanderthals by sequencing mitochondrial DNA, mtDNA, from pieces of Neanderthal human bone. mtDNA is a small circular chromosome found inside the mitochondrion.

This year’s Nobel Prize jewelry in Physiology/Medicine is therefore a mtDNA necklace. mtDNA is usually illustrated as a thick ring of double-stranded DNA, right-handed around the ring.

The Nobel Prize in Physics in 2022 was awarded Alain Aspect, John Clauser and Anton Zeilinger “for experiments with entangled photons, establishing the violation of Bell inequalities and pioneering quantum information science” .

This year’s Nobel Prize jewelry in Physics is ‘Two particles with entangled photons’ as a jacket pin/brooch. The two particles do not have a definite state before they are measured. Both particles are gray, with no secret information, until someone looks at one of them. Chance decides which one will be red/yellow and which one will be green/blue. One may turn out to be green/blue. Immediately the other particle then gets the opposite color.

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2022 was awarded to Carolyn R. Bertozzi, Morten Meldal and K. Barry Sharpless “for the development of click chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry”.

Click chemistry is a new and systematic way of building molecules by snap together molecular building blocks.

This year’s Nobel Prize jewelry in Chemistry is the Triazol necklace, the crown jewel of click chemistry. The result of the copper catalysed azide-alkyne cycloaddition.

Welcome to my exhibition at the reception at Uppsala Business Park, Wednesday and Thursday, October 12th & 13th, 10 am-2 pm.

If you want to come and see my exhibition, and you don’t work inside the gates, let me know a few days in advance. I will then report you to the gate and you will be able to enter.

During this summer’s exhibitions, I received several great tips from my visitors. Some of my latest science inspired silver jewelry: a bispecific IgG antibody and a trisomy jewelry.

The weekend of August 27 and 28 it’s the time for the Sigtuna meeting and Sigtuna and its surroundings will be filled with life and movement. The Sigtuna Meeting has its roots in the 1912 agricultural meeting and is being organized for the 51st year.

Herresta Lada in Odensala is one of the places to visit and has a craft market. I will be one of the exhibitors with my silver jewelry inspired by science.

In the cozy café, you can also relax with homemade coffee bread and Belgian waffles with jam and whipped cream.
